St.Augusitne's Patrick

6)Perpetuity of Virginity of Mary. In being born of a Virgin who chose to remain a virgin even before she knew who was to be born of her, Christ wanted to approve virginity rather than to impose it. And he wanted virginity to be a free choice even in that woman who he took upon himself the form of slave.(Holy Virginity 4:4-AD401).
Heretics called Antidicomarities are those who contradict the the perpetual virginity of Mary and affirm that after Christ was born she joined as one with her husband(Heresis 56.[AD.428]
15)Queen Mary's conception and high status. That one woman is both Mother and Virgin, not in spirit only but even in body. In Spirit she is mother, not of our head who is our Savior himself- of whom all, even she herself, are rightly called children of the bridegroom- but plainly she is the mother of us because by love she cooperated so that the faithful who are the members of the head, might be born in the Church. In body, indeed she is the Mother of that very Head.(Holy Virginity 6:6 AD401).
Having accepted the Holy Virgin Mary concerning whom, on account of the honour of the Lord, I wish to have absolutely no question when treating of sins - for how do we know when abundnce
of grace for the total overcoming of sins was conferred upon her merited to conceive and bear him in whom there was no sin - so, I say with the exception of Virginn, if we could have gathered together all those holy men and women, when they were living here, and had asked them whether they were without sins, what do supposed would have been their answer?(Nature & Grace 316:42)

DAILY READINGS

13TH SUNDAY(28/6)Wisdom1:13-15,2:23-24.Wisdom here wove morality& eternity together. Therefore, righteous man will enjoy Resurrection, Note God did not intend death when he created the co mos, nor enjoy the death of his creatures. Just as his virtues are unending, so is humanity, for death is, by definition, unjust. Ch.2; takes on a different track; it defended the doctrine of Resurrection against the Hellenistic view of fatalism. Life, according to Wisdom 2,is not merely subjected to the whims of the gods or of a universe that is indifferent to one's actions. It is empty or useless. The shortness of life does not excuse selfishness or oppression of the good by the selfish. YHWH created everyone for immortality but evil deprived humanity of that gift.

2nd reading- Corinthians 8:7,9,13-15."Give to others. In your time of need, someone will take care of you."From Christian point of view, this is not belief in Karma(retributive justice), but a hope in divine Providence. In the good times, we must remember to share the blessings God gave to us. When times get tough for us, we will certainly not depend on others(they fight fail us) bust we can lean to God. so give and God will take care of us. He can and never FORGETS!!

GOSPEL: Mark 5:21-24, 35b-43. reflects a common pattern in Jesus ministry:proclamation, opposition and restoration. His life, death and Resurrection as the model for this pattern. Jesus proclaimed the Good News, was opposed by the leaders unto death, and was restored to his rightly place as the ONLY Son of the Father. He promised the same to all Christians.

Genesis 27:1-5.15-29: Rebekah deceived Isaac into believing that Jacob was actually Esau by dressing Jacob with her eldest clothing's. Thus history showed it is not the eldest son that always end up with the best deals, so to speak. Abel gave the best of his farm produces; God favoured Abraham second son and you will see the choice with God's willing Joseph brought fame and fortunes.

Psalm: 134:1-6 "For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself and Israel for his own possession."

Gospel: Matthew 9:14-17; Surely we do not expect the bridegroom's attendance would never think of mourning as long as the bridegroom is still with them. This is in response to John's disciples query.

Psalm 82:6> I have said, ye are gods and all of you are children of the most High.
Reminiscent of a movie -a wood curver fashioned himself a son out of wood, out of love, one that he can care, guide, teach and spent time with - Pinocchio was the answer. His love brought life to his creation.
Some familiar - Yes, God curved for Himself men and women to be with Him forever. He made us as He was and just less than Himself. " He made us gods and children";we are greatest of His creation. In His eyes we are sacred and good. Let us do everything we can to live up to His Holy expectation's.

Mathew 24:35 -Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Jesus).
very pronounced are these. "Destroy this temple and in three days I will rebuild;" and He fulfilled the promise His disciples the gifts of the Holy Spirit after His Ascension. And now we await the greatest of all His promise. I will return.
JERENIAH - 23:1-6.
he rants against the corrupt kings of Jerusalem, a spark of hope appeared. Despite the actions of the kings, God would be faithful to his promises. He would raise righteous kings to rule in justice. He himself would gather the scattered and return them to kingdom ruled by a just king. Corruption would be replaced by justice. Idolatry would be replaced by the true worship. Peace and security would return to the land. All this would be God's doing and in God's time.
Today 1st reading:(28th Sunday) WISDOM 7:7-11 reflects Solomon's desires prudence and wisdom over riches and God was so pleased that He gave what he desired in to fame and riches. It equated the possession of wisdom with a healthy relationship with God. One needs to pursue wisdom through pray which Solomon did. In contrast Mark 10:17-30 the rich man chose to keep his riches though Jesus loved him and His invariably added "not to defraud" to accumulate riches. Taken in context to Jesus paradoxical way of teachings, He is not totally against accumulation of riches so long as these come the right way without defrauding and one should also apportionate to the needy.
